Well, having already sold the farm mansion—or at least put it up for offer with an interesting caveat—and gone done with the nude—with a hope that an outraged demand that the internet long since done away with would bring it back:
Hugh Hefner may sell Playboy (foxnews.com).
“As Hugh Hefner nears his 90th birthday, Playboy is up for sale. The brand confirmed to FOX411 it is exploring sale opportunities. ‘We can confirm that we are engaged in a process to gauge interest from additional investment partners to help us continue to expand our media, entertainment and licensing businesses. This process could eventually lead to a sale of the company.’”
Perhaps a “process to gauge interest” which is purely on branding which doesn’t say as much as it used too rather than anything of content which may well be as much a coyote that snuck in under the mansion’s fence as the internet, the bunny logo being seen where nudity is not such as Amazon or even Tesco with about the same coolness factor as your dad’s love for rock and metal, today’s musical conservatism.
Poll: Non-nude Playboy, commitment or testing the water; how long will it last? (Pick of the Month 31st Oct. 2015).
