Playboy Mansion up for sale for $200 mn: report (msn.com/AFP).
“The Playboy Mansion, reputedly host to some of America’s most raucous parties and other shenanigans too graphic for print, is up for sale for $200 million, US media said Saturday. … Playboy Enterprises is seeking upwards of $200 million, but TMZ, citing real-estate sources in the area of Holmby Hills—close to Beverly Hills—said the mansion is more likely to go for between $80 million and $90 million. Prospective buyers can tour the sprawling property, but one area is off-limits—Hefner’s bedroom, TMZ said. It also said that any sale comes with a major catch—whoever buys it must give Hefner a life estate, meaning he can continue to live in the mansion until he dies.”
Which admittedly must be a bit of a bummer if a potential buyer plans to host any “raucous parties” of their own, which I take Hef will leave his off-limits bedroom to invite himself too.
Indeed, with Hef’s realisation he’s no longer his 12-year-old self with Playboy’s social justice warrior non-nude rebranding although the poll may not quite support it as of yet, it may indeed seem the internet coyote did indeed slip in under the fence to those Holmby Hills grounds to eat the bunny. Playboy Mansion sold to billionaire neighbour for more than $100million (mirror.co.uk).
“The Holmby Hills estate—owned by Playboy Enterprises—has been bought by Daren Metropoulos, who lives next door to the property, according to TMZ. Hugh Hefner had put the estate on the market for $200 million and while the sale price has not yet been revealed, it has been claimed that it went for over $100 million. And the buyer has agreed to allow the 90-year-old media mogul to remain in the property until he dies.”
