Whatever’s on my mind really.

A peek at illustration inspiring celebrity sexiness, quirky news stories from inherently pornified pop culture, tips, sketchbook and work in progress, reviews and other things of interest; whatever’s on my mind really—which more fool you if you ever take that seriously.

Latest Picks is a sort of mini-blog for daily thoughts and picks. Longer articles, stories & sketches are found in the full-size blog, where indeed Latest Picks are moved when updates to a story make it too large.

Note: Both Latest Picks and Blog are to be retired at the end of September, although both will remain available indefinitely as an archived part of the site. No further updates to past stories will be made.

Carrie Fisher, force grows stronger … on “May the Fourth” Day (tmz.com).

May the force be with you always

Being the official annual Star Wars days as you may know (“May the 4th”, gettit?)

“Carrie Fisher’s gravesite is calm and peaceful on Star Wars Day … but her force is starting to draw fans who want to honor the galaxy’s Princess. Princess Leia’s headstone—shared with her mom, Debbie Reynolds—was already adorned with flowers, cards and a ‘Star Wars’ gift bag early Thursday morning. Many more are expected to arrive throughout May the Fourth.”

And, A New Hope turns 40 this year:

Celebrating 40 years of Star Wars (cnet.com).

Star Wars in pop culture
“Forty years ago, two words flashed on movie screens and forever shifted the world’s cultural landscape: Star. Wars. The movie opened in theaters on May 25, 1977, and created an instant sensation with its groundbreaking special effects, rousing adventure, inspiring heroes and chilling villains. It made household names of George Lucas, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford -- not to mention Darth Vader, C3-PO, R2-D2 and the countless aliens and adventurers of the Star Wars universe. And it became a cultural touchstone for a generation.”
