Mac Miller dead at 26 … apparent overdose (tmz.com).
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Mac was found Friday around noon in a bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rapper having batted substance abuse for years, perhaps exacerbated by his breakup with Ariana Grande earlier in the year, although sources claimed they remained close friends but while expressing concern Ariana making it clear it had been the the reason for the end of their “toxic” 2-year relationship.
But the subject of blame for Mac’s DUI hit and run arrest after rapper his G-Wagon around a utility poll after the breakup and now his overdose has centered on the petite popstrel again—with a nod to TMZ’s “infamous shamelessness”:

Horrifically, Grande is already being associated—if not outright blamed—for Miller’s death, not only at the hands of TMZ, but at other outlets like the Daily Mail and HollywoodLife. Sources claim … Mac Miller’s home cleaned after drug OD (tmz.com).
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, they only found a tiny amount of white powder when they searched the home for clues as to how Mac died. They also believe, based on conversations with witnesses and other evidence … the house was almost swept clean, so there was no evidence of drug use.
And who would to bet fentanyl will turn out to be involved as it has been in the OD’s of Prince, Lil’ Peep and Demi Lovato (Blog, updated 14th Aug. 2018).

In the first public statement since he died of a suspected overdose last week, Grande described him as her “dearest friend” and the “kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved”.
And with the accompanying video of the two laughing having dinner that she said she was “so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away”.

Mac Miller died from fentanyl, cocaine found in praying position (tmz.com).
According to the report, Mac’s assistant found him unresponsive on his bed in a “praying position”—kneeling forward with his face resting on his knees. The assistant described him as already being “blue” during the 911 call.
With the cause of death being “mixed drug toxicity” of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

A man has been charged in connection with Mac Miller’s overdose death (buzzfeednews.com).
According to federal court documents, Cameron James Pettit provided Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick, with counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl two days prior to his overdose.
With 28-year-old Pettit charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance and facing a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

Ryan Reavis, of Lake Havasu City in Arizona, was held after a search by federal agents on Monday, according to the Lake Havasu City Police Department. The investigation is part of an active case involving Miller’s death, the police said.
