Swedish DJ Avicii dead at 28 (billboard.com).
The influential DJ and poster boy of EDM had much struggled with the spotlight and excessive drinking which caused him to retire from touring in 2016. With two hits having topped the chart in the UK Avicii is regarded as the first EDM star to break America.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” his publicist Diana Baron said in a statement.” He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

Avicii: Family hints at suicide … ‘he could not go on’ (tmz.com).
Avicii was struggling with major issues at the time of his death ... which his family is now strongly insinuating was a suicide.
A suspicion based on a statement by the family containing the passage “He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace”.
