It seems for fashion this year it’s all about empowering bump and pump.
Rihanna cast two pregnant models for New York Fashion Week, and one gave birth right after the show (buzzfeed.com).
The artist and style icon debuting her Fall/Winter ’18 Savage X Fenty lingerie collection last Wednesday.
Fans quickly noted how inclusive the model lineup was, as there was a vast range of body shapes and sizes, including two beautiful expecting mothers, Fenty muse Slick Woods and Janina Thompson.
With quirky 22-year-old Instagirl Woods wearing a shimmery mesh one-piece with cutouts and reportedly having contractions as she walked the catwalk and then going straight into labor backstage, presumably thankfully her waters did not break while she walked the walk.
Reports started circulating that Woods went into labor backstage and was taken to a local hospital after the show, and today the model took to her Instagram to confirm “A king is born” after a 14-hour labor.

“Independence and freedom” that can be enjoyed for £229 for a single pump and £429 for two and seemingly taking the lead from model Mara Martin who breastfed her five-month-old daughter on the runway earlier this year in Miami while modelling Sports Illustrated swimwear (glamour.com, Jul. 2018).
So, in the waggish words of the Elvie song, “Pump it out, pump it out, I’m milking my ladies”.
