Whatever’s on my mind really.

A peek at illustration inspiring celebrity sexiness, quirky news stories from inherently pornified pop culture, tips, sketchbook and work in progress, reviews and other things of interest; whatever’s on my mind really—which more fool you if you ever take that seriously.

Latest Picks is a sort of mini-blog for daily thoughts and picks. Longer articles, stories & sketches are found in the full-size blog, where indeed Latest Picks are moved when updates to a story make it too large.

Note: Both Latest Picks and Blog are to be retired at the end of September, although both will remain available indefinitely as an archived part of the site. No further updates to past stories will be made.

This NSFW portrait series imagines all your favorite celebs going down on you (cosmopolitan.com).

If you are female I might need to add but… hey, whatever’s your bag but you might be a bit disappointed as we are talking cunnilingus.

“It’s no secret that cunnilingus is woefully underrepresented in film and pop culture. Ryan Gosling very famously made a speech in 2010 when the Motion Picture Association of America tried to give Blue Valentine an NC-17 rating because of a scene in which he was performing oral sex on Michelle Williams’s character. He argued it was misogynistic for the MPAA to try and ‘control a woman’s sexual presentation of self.’ Yet these unfair double standards persist, thereby continuing to send the message that female sexual pleasure is still somehow more scandalous to viewers. Enter artist Alexandra Rubinstein and her incredible series, ‘A Dream Come True’ … creating work that turns the long-fraught oral sex paradigm upside down. … ‘[This series] was a response to the lack of heterosexual female perspective in representation of sexuality in mainstream media and pornography … which reiterates to the viewer that sex is about men and their pleasure. It’s not!’ Rubinstein told Cosmopolitan.com.’”

Which at least suggests there is nothing gender-specifically wrong with pornographic representation in itself and that… but saying that, there is a lot of pussy eating depicted by males in porn on either side of the “mainstream” divide and many men are as much into it—and watching it—as females enjoying it—or watching it—too and that patriarchal be “ladylike” denial of that is perhaps the real issue still being addressed with more females feeling at last long able to admit they watch porn too (thefrisky.com, Apr. 2014). For sure, ladies, paint what you enjoy.

“‘Given that heterosexual women tend to think about specific male celebrities in their sexual fantasies, Rubinstein included popular celebrities when conceiving each piece in ‘A Dream Come True.’ I wanted to explore fantasy from women’s point of view, which usually includes Jon Hamm and cunnilingus. At least for me,’ she joked.”

Indeed, seemingly also viable a defence for males painting Kim K.’s bare bedunk or sapphically attracted ladies painting XXXtina licking their lady bits too, unless anything other than “heterosexual” is the last cultural enjoyable mons pubis to be mounted.
