And, rather than leave them suspended, the shock and shame that these ladies were no in fact crying wolf as their claims were once dismissed continues to roll heads that allegedly seemingly demanded it as perk of leadership role:

Roy Price resigns as Amazon Studios chief following sexual harassment allegation (latimes.com).

“Price’s departure, confirmed by an Amazon Studios representative, comes less than a week after he was placed on unpaid leave following accusations made by Isa Hackett, an executive producer on the Amazon drama series ‘The Man in the High Castle,’ that he made lewd remarks and unwanted advances in 2015.”

Quentin Tarantino reveals he knew about Harvey Weinstein’s behaviour decades ago and is ashamed he kept quiet (telegraph.co.uk).

“The director, who has worked with Weinstein on all of his films, said he wished he had ‘taken responsibility’ after hearing several credible stories from prominent actresses about Weinstein’s misconduct.”

Telling that “I knew enough to do more than I did” suggesting it really was something of an open secret that some may have shirtfronted him over but carried on working with regardless: Brad Pitt “confronted Harvey Weinstein after alleged sexual harassment of then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow” (independent.co.uk, 11th Oct. 2017).

And unsurprisingly, no one was that impressed, and seemingly not leaving him Django Unchained from the exploitation:

If it sounds like a crappy excuse, that’s probably because it is (themarysue.com).

“Tarantino confessed that he had known about the abuse of power from actress friends of his, including his former girlfriend Mira Sorvino…”

Who Weinstein had chased through a hotel room and suggestively more, but that:

“[Tarantino] shared that he felt the problem was resolved when Sorvino became his girlfriend, and Weinstein would keep his distance.”

Or just move along to somewhat else, being rather reminiscent of Brad Pitt’s shirtfronting of Weinstein over Goop goddess Gwyneth Paltrow, the article suggesting that “it was a conscious choice of looking away from a problem” and, indeed “an active enforcement of the status quo, of rape culture that keeps women silent and afraid while uplifting their abusers”.

But to state again that he never did anything untoward when he was having dinner with them:

Matt Damon & George Clooney: Weinstein was an a**hole! But we never witnessed him preying on women (tmz.com).

“Matt spoke out about the Weinstein scandal Monday on ‘GMA,’ and said he’d never seen Harvey assault anyone, but was aware of the Gwyneth Paltrow incident. Still, he says he only saw Weinstein treat Gwyneth ‘incredibly respectfully.’”

Indeed, seemingly he thought it prudent to wait until he was alone with them which, as suggested above in relation to the “honey pot” that was his modus operandi. But, to give it some kind of awkward silver lining:

“George said it was ‘beyond infuriating that Weinstein was silencing women, but thinks the scandal will finally shut down the infamous casting couch … IF Hollywood reacts the right way.”

Meanwhile, Weinstein himself finished his week of chastisement in sex rehab:

Harvey Weinstein completes 1-week outpatient program psychologist says, “He took it seriously” (tmz.com).

“Weinstein gave his treating psychologist permission to speak with TMZ. The psychologist asked us not to use his name, but he was a key member of the team treating Weinstein. The psychologist says Weinstin’s program lasted 1 week, and involved ‘intensive therapy’ on an outpatient basis.”

Said psychologist reporting Weinstein was “dealing with his anger”, his”attitude towards others“ and undertaking some sort of “boundary work” on the “beginnings of work on empathy” to which a monkey’s uncle also present either treating or for treatment concurred.

And as with the Fappening, for which the rich and the famous were able to lawyer up and, within the stormy break the internet mix of sexual exploitation outrage and anticipation at who next will be giving a peek, have said lawyers threaten even mighty Google to remove images (Pick of the Week 17th Sept. 2014), what about those with no such high profile put in the same situation?

Hollywood’s female crew members experience the same harassment as stars, but lack their protections (themarysue.com).

“The Hollywood Reporter has interviewed more than two dozen women who work in Hollywood as ‘below-the-line’ crew members, who don’t have the protection that comes with the platform of celebrity. Nearly all of them have experienced workplace harassment, either verbal or physical (or both). More than half reported being harassed by the director on set.”

Suggestively making some wear no makeup, jeans, and a baseball in order to appear androgynous so as to fit in without being noticed, seemingly a guise adopted by many women online to get by without the social media and MMORPG harressment (thisisnocave.blogspot.co.uk, 7th Sept. 2017).

Leading to, as if on cue:

Harvey Weinstein’s British former assistant breaks 20 year silence over ordeal (elleuk.com).

“Harvey Weinstein’s British former assistant [Zelda Perkins] has claimed she was paid £125,000 ($165,200) for her silence after accusing the producer of sexual harassment. … Perkins told the paper that Weinstein asked her for a massage, tried to pull her into bed, and ‘was made to feel ashamed for disclosing his behaviour’.”

For which, as TMZ pointed out, his contract seemingly budgeted for, with Perkins signing a non-disclosure agreement after making the accusations and receiving the payoff. But seemingly his non-disclosure spending had to account for him not taking half measures:

“The ex-assistant added that she came forward to report the allegations when a female colleague had told her she had also been sexually harassed by the producer.”

Who was also awarded £250,000 in damages for her silence, but both now having broke the agreement could find themselves liable to having to repay.

Miley Cyrus and Terry Richardson
Where’s the hand? Heather Lind and Former President George H.W. Bush in 2014
Where’s the hand?

And of that “reacts the right way” silver lining Matt and George seemingly mentioned, it’s a perfect time for others long dogged by allegations some have long awaited to be blacklisted:

Terry Richardson banned from working with Vogue and other leading mags (25th Oct. 2017).

And it’s not just movie producers and edgy photogs accused of putting high hand hand where they shouldn’t:

George H W Bush apologises to actress after being accused of sexual assault (telegraph.co.uk).

“Heather Lind, 34, claimed Mr Bush, 93, assaulted her four years ago while they posed for a photograph alongside the president’s wife Barbara Bush. In a post on social media Ms Lind claimed: ‘He didn’t shake my hand. He touched me from behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side. He told me a dirty joke.’”

The claim accompanied by the hashtag #metoo on Instagram, although it was later deleted.

Sixth woman accuses former president George HW Bush of groping her during photo shoot (telegraph.co.uk).

“Roslyn Corrigan said she posed for a photo with Mr Bush in 2003 at a gathering of CIA officers in Texas. She was just 16 years old at the time and attended the event with her mother and father, who was an intelligence analyst. But while she stood for the picture with Mr Bush and her mother, the former president squeezed her bottom, Ms Corrigan told Time Magazine.”

Indeed, “He dropped his hands from my waist down to my buttocks and gave it a nice, ripe squeeze, which would account for the fact that in the photograph my mouth is hanging wide open“ she said, making it no surprise that three of the women claim Bush jokingly told them his favourite book was “David Cop-a-feel”, with him telling to each cocksure in his wondrous wit.
