Surely for a gossip-obsessed culture she is neither. Charlie Sheen gets away with it with winning approval. Double-standards?

Some expressed their disapproval, which, unlike those quoted in the article, I'm sure went more like "we didn't do that in my day!" No, of course you didn't, because you couldn't get any back then with rationing n' all.

Anti-porn campaigner predicts UK will follow Iceland's lead over ban on internet porn (news.uk.msn.com).
"Dr Gail Dines, a British-American academic based at Wheelock College in Boston, [believes] that Britain would be next to attempt to filter out the 'increasingly brutal and hardcore imagery which is now the standard'."
Well, she could be right. Since 2008 we have a ban on in places vaguely-worded "extreme porn" introduced by the much-maligned Labour government in the Section 63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008, but recently court cases have demonstrated how much it has been misused. And at the end of last year a bill to defaultly filter online porn was first rejected but then passed after a hue and cry by the tabloids.
The main question still remains though. Is it even possible to enforce when access, no matter how much filtering hoops they make people jump through, with a proxy is so easy?
